The Patient-Ready Inspection Checklist
Every item that earns our Patient-Ready grade goes through the same structured inspection. Here's exactly what we check.
⚡ Functional Testing
The item powers on and all primary functions perform as designed.
- ✓Powers on and boots without error
- ✓All primary clinical functions operational
- ✓Alarms and alerts working as intended
- ✓Display and user interface functional
- ✓Battery holds charge (where applicable)
- ✓Connectors and ports functional
🧽 Cleaning & Sanitation
Equipment is cleaned to hospital-grade standards before grading.
- ✓Exterior surfaces cleaned and disinfected
- ✓Accessible internal components inspected
- ✓Cables, leads, and accessories cleaned
- ✓No biological contamination present
- ✓Filters checked or replaced where applicable
- ✓Stored in clean, climate-controlled environment
🔍 Physical Condition
Cosmetic defects are documented. Structural integrity confirmed.
- ✓No cracks, breaks, or structural damage
- ✓Cosmetic wear photographed and noted in listing
- ✓Wheels, handles, and mounting points intact
- ✓Labels and safety markings legible
- ✓No missing panels or covers that affect function
- ✓Power cords and cables undamaged

Everything a biomedical team needs is included or available on request.

How Equipment Gets Its Grade
Every item goes through the same process before it's listed. Nothing gets a Patient-Ready grade until it passes the full checklist.
Acquisition
Equipment sourced from hospitals, clinics, and dealers.
Intake
Serial number logged, photos taken, service history noted.
Cleaning
Exterior and accessible surfaces cleaned to hospital standards.
Testing
Full functional test against the checklist. Pass or fail.
Grade & List
Grade assigned, condition documented, photos uploaded, listed live.
Patient-Ready vs. Inspected vs. AS-IS
We use three condition grades. Here's how they compare.
Patient-Ready
Fully functional, tested, cleaned. Cosmetic wear documented but no structural issues. Ready for immediate clinical use. 30-day DOA warranty included.
Inspected
Tested and working. Cosmetic wear may be more significant than Patient-Ready. Clearly described in listing. 14-day DOA warranty. Suitable for most clinical settings.
AS-IS
Not tested. Condition unknown. For parts, repair, or experienced buyers who can evaluate the equipment themselves. No warranty. Final sale.
