Return Policy

Overview

Reuse Medical Equipment stands behind the accuracy of our condition grades and listing descriptions. If an item doesn't match what was described when you bought it, we'll make it right.

This policy applies to all purchases made directly through reusemedicalequipment.com. For purchases made through third-party marketplaces, that platform's return policy applies.

Our commitment: If an item's condition was misrepresented in the listing, you can return it within the applicable window for a full refund. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we'll take care of it.

Return Eligibility

Returns are accepted when the item received does not match the condition described in the product listing. We do not accept returns based on a change of mind or because the equipment wasn't compatible with a setup we weren't told about.

Eligible reasons for return:

  • Item condition is materially worse than described in the listing
  • Item arrived non-functional and was listed as Patient-Ready or Inspected
  • Wrong item shipped
  • Item is missing components listed as included
  • Item failed within the DOA warranty window through normal use

Not eligible for return:

  • AS-IS items — sold as-is, all sales final
  • Change of mind or no longer needed
  • Compatibility issues not disclosed at time of purchase
  • Damage caused after delivery
  • Items returned after the applicable window has closed

All AS-IS sales are final

The return window begins on the date of delivery confirmed by the carrier. If delivery is not tracked, the window begins 5 business days after the order ship date.

AS-IS items: These are sold without warranty or return rights. We list condition as unknown because we haven't tested the item. Buyers accept all risk. Do not purchase AS-IS items for clinical use without independent biomedical evaluation.

How to Initiate a Return

Do not ship a return without first contacting us. Unsolicited returns may not be processed.

  1. 1Contact us at reusemedicalequipment.com/pages/contact-us or email info@reusemedicalequipment.com within the applicable return window.
  2. 2Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos clearly showing the discrepancy between the item and the listing.
  3. 3We will review and respond within 1 business day. If the return is approved, we'll provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping instructions.
  4. 4Pack the item securely, include the RMA number on the outside of the package, and ship using the method we specify.
  5. 5Once received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 5 business days.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of us receiving and verifying the returned item.

Original shipping charges are refunded only when the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, item significantly misrepresented). Refunds for other eligible returns cover the item price only.

Wire transfer refunds may take up to 10 business days to clear depending on your bank.

Return Shipping

If the return is due to our error — wrong item shipped or item materially misrepresented — we cover return shipping costs. We'll provide a prepaid label.

For all other eligible returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked service with insurance appropriate to the item's value. Reuse Medical is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Damaged in Transit

If your item arrives visibly damaged from shipping, you must:

  • Document the damage with photos before unpacking fully
  • Retain all original packaging
  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

Freight damage claims are time-sensitive and require the original packaging. We cannot process damage claims reported after 48 hours or where packaging has been discarded.

Freight damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Do not discard packaging until the claim is resolved. Photos of the damaged packaging and item are required.

DOA Warranty

Patient-Ready items carry a 30-day DOA (dead on arrival) warranty. Inspected items carry a 14-day DOA warranty. These warranties begin on the confirmed delivery date.

If a Patient-Ready or Inspected item stops functioning within the warranty period through normal clinical use — not from physical damage, misuse, or modification — contact us and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund.

The DOA warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage occurring after delivery
  • Damage from improper use, installation, or modification
  • Normal wear components such as consumables, probes, or disposables
  • Faults caused by incompatible accessories not supplied by us

Questions & Disputes

We aim to resolve every return issue quickly and fairly. If you have a concern about a purchase, contact us before initiating a chargeback — we'll work it out.

This policy was last updated on January 1, 2025. Reuse Medical Equipment reserves the right to update this policy. Changes take effect when posted to this page.
